Michelangelo Mortellaro received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix in 2003. He received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University and graduated with honors in 2006. Mr. Mortellaro’s practice areas include: Estate Planning, Probate, Medicaid Asset Protection and VA Benefits.  The Law Office of Michelangelo Mortellaro P.A., helps families with their estate planning, probate and elder law legal needs.

Associate Attorney Roy Wilkes

Roy has more than 45 years of experience in estate, tax, medicaid planning and financial planning. In addition to his private legal practice, Roy has held supervisory positions with International and Regional C.P.A.firms and in private industry. Roy has held a securities license issued by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). Roy is a frequent lecturer on medicaid planning, estate planning, financial planning and taxation. He has taught college level business law, tax and ethics courses and is frequently engaged as a consultant for other law, financial planning and accounting firms. 

Roy has been married to his wife Brenda for 46 years. They have been blessed four children together. Roy is active in his church and when he is not practicing law, he restores cars and motorcycles.

Mr. Wilkes received his accounting degree from the University of Central Florida, passing the C.P.A. exam, and received his law degree, Cum Laude, from Oral Roberts University.

Mr. Berger has served as the Chair of the Nineteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and he has served as the Chair of the Nineteenth Circuit Bar Grievance Committee (B). He has served as a director/officer of multiple non-profit organizations, including the Justice Major B. Harding American Inn of Court, the Port St. Lucie Police Foundation, Safe Space, Inc., and the YMCA of the Treasure Coast. Mr. Berger has also served as the President of the Martin County Bar Association, the President of the Hundred Club of St. Lucie County, the President of the Martin County Healthy Start Coalition and the President of Leadership Martin County Alumni, Inc.

Through his experiences, Mr. Berger has garnered a tremendous amount of courtroom skills, management skills, people skills, and problem-solving skills. He is committed to fighting for clients seeking a just outcome.

Mr. Berger has been honored with various distinguishing awards and / or achievements. In 2001, he was recognized by the Orange County Teen Court with the Thomas S. Kirk Founders Award. In 2005, he authored and generated the idea for Florida Statute 316.193(12), a statute which is committed to protecting Florida’s citizens from repeat DUI offenders. In 2008, he was one of three prosecutors in the State of Florida awarded the M.A.D.D. outstanding DUI prosecutor of the year award. Mr. Berger also received the honor of serving as the Keynote Speaker at the 2013 Keiser University Port St. Lucie Campus Commencement Ceremony.
